Martial Arts Training for Adults and Mature Teens
Group classes are one hour in length. Students range from age 15 to 70+. The class combines cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility drills into the warm-up session, which may last from 15-30 minutes, depending on the mix of students in the class.
The remainder of the class is spent learning various techniques and forms, with an emphasis on a strong technical understanding of centering and power-generating movements. Breathing and meditation exercise are also introduced to the students. Self-defense techniques are taught with an emphasis on practical use. While formal advancement through the ranks is not required, it is highly encouraged to allow students to set individual benchmarks of success.
